Our message today is about distraction.

There are days where it is so hard to focus on our goals and our true path. We feel like we are continually batting away swarms of missives, like mosquitos. We are letting ourselves get distracted by a bombardment of text messages, emails, and social media.

Spirit advises us to turn it all off. Turn off the computer. Turn off the phone. Turn off the TV. Turn off the radio. Give yourself the gift of an hour (at least) without distraction. Rest, recenter, re-focus.

The Birds means conversation, even therapy. Sometimes it means siblings.

Sometimes when we are choosing a path or passion that does not follow the status quo, we have to defend our choices. Often, we are conflicted inside ourselves about whether we are on the right track. We might continuously argue with ourselves about our decisions.

Our message today is to resist keeping this turmoil bottled up inside us. Find someone we trust, and talk it out. Talking with a sibling, a friend, or a therapist, will get the noise in our heads out, and make sense of it. Today, reach out and share your dreams with someone that you trust.
