When I asked Spirit what Message they had for the world today to help us manifest our Greatest Good, the Knight of Cups marched out of the deck. I did shuffle, and I had several readings between yesterday’s message and today, so this card has something to tell us that I must have missed yesterday.

The Suit of Cups is the suit of water. They symbolize emotions, spirituality, creativity, intuition. The Knight rides through a quiet landscape, the sky without moisture, and the river flowing with hardly a ripple. The ground is dry. The land, parched for water, looks inhospitable, with challenging inclines ahead.

What stands out to me is how deliberate the Knight is. He and the horse are controlled, careful, and methodical. He intentionally carries water to arid land. He brings love and compassion to inhospitable terrain, to people that might not be welcoming.

The message today is to gift our kindness to the dry, hard people, too. Their souls are the soil that needs healing water. One drop of liquid might nourish a seed that will bloom into something beautiful. If the opportunity arises to give our complete attention, and listen with our hearts, to those that we might find it difficult to love, that don’t love us back, or don’t love themselves, we should do so. Distribute the healing elixir of tenderness with an even hand. Set out into the day with mindful intention to be kind.
