We are not out of the Tower moment yet, no matter what people may say. It is going to take a long effort of collaborative thinking and work before our new foundations are strong enough to support us. Let’s hope that we all emerge unscathed into that beautiful landscape of divine presence with the canopy of stars overhead and the means to nourish ourselves spiritually and corporally. (The Star) There is still work to do, collaborations to foster, ideas to ignite, structures to put in place.

The Garden + The Lilies can represent a gathering of mature people. The Garden + the Birds, networking, internet, social media. The Lilies + The Birds can be a talkative elderly person or couple.

Today, we should take time to connect with the elders in our lives through social media, phone calls, zoom. Reach out and say hello. Isolation can be terrible cruelty for someone living alone whose peers might have already passed to the heavens. An attentive ear and kind words can make a world of difference.

It is poisonous to talk with our heads together, chirping like birds, gossiping, sharing the news in our flocks, our cliques, with neighbors, over coffee, over check-out, over fences. All of the chatter has stopped.

And yet, there is tremendous building energy all around us. The Pandemic is starting to peak in some places. Efforts to combat it are lining up, getting in position, gaining momentum.

I think today’s message to the world is an affirmation that sheltering-in-place is making a difference. That by stopping to gather with each other, by stopping the spread, we are assisting the recovery. The relief efforts have organized and are hurtling along.

For all of us who are attempting to learn from home or explore new career paths and means of income (Ace of Pentacles), today’s message acknowledges that having a world-wide shelter-in-place order is posing some obstacles and delays.

Specifically, the challenges (the Mountain) have to do with the ability to meet or connect with people, perhaps issues with our phone service and internet being SOOOO slow with everyone online. (The Birds: small gatherings, conversations, chatter.)

However, the outcome is The Book, which stands for learning, education, and knowledge. So breathe and be patient. It will all work out. These times will lead to new innovative workarounds, and despite the challenges and delays, Spirit encourages us to stick with it.

1st Draw: THE LILIES + THE HOUSE + THE SERPENT – Lenormand
2nd Draw: THE TREE + THE CROSS + THE BIRDS – Lenormand

The King of Cups reversed illustrates that this forced confinement inside our homes, deluged with disturbing news from the world, threatens our equilibrium. Emotions are running high, and risk capsizing us.

I drew the Lenormand clarifier cards twice because the first draw was not clear to me. Lilies Lenormand can represent the elderly or mature people in our lives. It also illustrates purity, calm, retirement, relaxation. The Lilies + The House + The Snake combination could indicate that we have a choice in our actions and reactions between purity and calmness, and lashing out at people poisonously. It could also mean that the elderly people in our homes are threatened by an outside poison or deceit.

The second time I drew the clarifiers, I pulled The Tree (health), The Cross (heartache), The Birds (siblings, flock, chatter). These three cards emphasize that heartache and trepidation about the health of ourselves and our loved ones, and the constant gossip or chatter about health, are also destabilizing our emotions.

Our message from Spirit today is to work to maintain emotional balance. If we have to tune out the world around us to do so, so be it. If we are in close and constant proximity to our housemates, we can try finding a separate nook, putting on headphones or earplugs, and immersing ourselves in our favorite music, in drawing or crafting, in a good novel, in meditation. Anything to give our hearts a respite from the outside chatter. If we are isolating alone, we can turn off our social media and our phones for a couple of hours, and do something for ourselves that requires our complete focus. Turning our attention from the external noise and worry to something creative or nourishing, will ease our hearts.

The Birds – Conversation, a meeting with friends.

This might be a good day to meet a friend or colleague over coffee, tea, wine – or to pick up the phone. An excellent day to network. To open up and talk about what is lighting you up these days. Not to talk about work, or school, or the mundane, instead, share what excites you! (Unless those are the topics that you’re most passionate about.)

To articulate your fire is to nourish it. The breath of your conversation will strengthen it.

Fear of slander is keeping us from committing to our inner calling. The birds here could represent gossip.

The birds might also represent our flock, either family by blood or by Spirit. This might be an encouragement to share the doubts and the internal “call to action” that we are experiencing.

The message today is to find a place where you feel safe talking, a person you trust or a social media group where you feel at home, and share about this trumpet call that Spirit sounds in your subconscious, share your fears and doubts. You are not alone.

The Birds means conversation, even therapy. Sometimes it means siblings.

Sometimes when we are choosing a path or passion that does not follow the status quo, we have to defend our choices. Often, we are conflicted inside ourselves about whether we are on the right track. We might continuously argue with ourselves about our decisions.

Our message today is to resist keeping this turmoil bottled up inside us. Find someone we trust, and talk it out. Talking with a sibling, a friend, or a therapist, will get the noise in our heads out, and make sense of it. Today, reach out and share your dreams with someone that you trust.
