We may be feeling some stage fright and nervous anticipation about reaching out and owning our authentic truth. Wielding that sword, speaking from our hearts, can be both liberating and terrifying. Spirit is telling us through these cards that communicating from an authentic place will bring positive changes to our lives. Speak out.

THE BOOK + THE STARS + THE BOUQUET – Lenormand

Swords are the suit of air, representing communication, intellect, learned prejudices, and beliefs. The FOUR OF SWORDS reversed could be referring to a forced rest or inaction, one where we are asked to ponder our unique viewpoints.

THE BOOK Lenormand can represent learning, knowledge, THE STARS Lenormand, hopes and wishes, and THE BOUQUET gifts and beauty.

Our message today is to take advantage of this forced inaction, the mandated suspension of our daily routines that sheltering-in-place has imposed. This time, pruned of the clutter of external expectations, might be the perfect opportunity to really sink into our values, what we believe, what our truths are. We could look at this moment as a gift, allowing us to really assess what we value, what our genuine hopes and aspirations are, and giving us the headspace to really focus on those. When the external world is falling apart around us, what becomes truly important?

Visualization is an essential part of manifestation. These days of self-discovery will assist us in recognizing and achieving what our soul holds dear.

THE COFFIN + THE STARS – Lenormand

If you live in an area where illness from the coronavirus is spreading (The Coffin + The Stars), you may find yourself needing to step into a leadership role. Be prepared for this. If you aren’t used to taking the initiative, make a checklist of what you might be required to do if the people in your life who usually direct things, fall ill. Ask questions and get answers before it happens.

Will you need to pay the bills? Make sure you have access to logins for online payments and are aware of which ones take priority. Will you need to do the shopping? Do you know where to transport someone if they are incapacitated? Do you need to think about what it might take to care for sick people at home? Do you know the symptoms of the virus so that you can stop false panic or get expedited help if warranted?

When our villages are hit with a crisis, we are all called upon to step up and serve. Assume that you may be thrust out of your comfort zone, and start planning.

THE HANGED MAN – Tarot
First draw:
THE MOUNTAIN – Lenormand
THE STARS + THE TOWER – Lenormand

Second draw:
THE DOG – Lenormand
THE LILIES – Lenormand

The Stars and the Tower fell out together – I see this pair as representing the internet. The Tower could be the “server towers,” which host and serve all of our online content, and the Stars are all of the sparks of connectivity.

When I first saw the Lenormand grouping, I was perplexed. There are a lot of different interpretations possible, so I did the Lenormand drawing again and pulled the Dog and the Lilies.

Our message today is to heed the warning/challenges (the Mountain) that the internet and social media are talking about, and stay put. Stay isolated (the Tower). Change plans, change perspectives, hang out. Suspend your travel plans.

The second draw could be emphasizing that this is particularly important for your elderly loved ones. (the Dog + the Lilies).

The Dog can also represent your best friend, soulmate, romantic partner, and the Lilies sometimes symbolize sexuality. So… if you are isolating at home, in limbo, with your spouse or lover, you may want to rekindle that physical love connection.
