THE HANGED MAN – Tarot
First draw:
THE MOUNTAIN – Lenormand
THE STARS + THE TOWER – Lenormand

Second draw:
THE DOG – Lenormand
THE LILIES – Lenormand

The Stars and the Tower fell out together – I see this pair as representing the internet. The Tower could be the “server towers,” which host and serve all of our online content, and the Stars are all of the sparks of connectivity.

When I first saw the Lenormand grouping, I was perplexed. There are a lot of different interpretations possible, so I did the Lenormand drawing again and pulled the Dog and the Lilies.

Our message today is to heed the warning/challenges (the Mountain) that the internet and social media are talking about, and stay put. Stay isolated (the Tower). Change plans, change perspectives, hang out. Suspend your travel plans.

The second draw could be emphasizing that this is particularly important for your elderly loved ones. (the Dog + the Lilies).

The Dog can also represent your best friend, soulmate, romantic partner, and the Lilies sometimes symbolize sexuality. So… if you are isolating at home, in limbo, with your spouse or lover, you may want to rekindle that physical love connection.

I just read in a forum thread on Biddy Tarot the words of a wise member who said, “The Star follows the upheaval of the Tower where we are laid bare and struck down to our lowest point. It is from this point that we have nothing but hope and trust in the Universe left to turn to, and it is often from this perspective that we truly open to the guidance the Universe has to offer. ”

The Bear Lenormand in this reading stands for Protection and the Heart Lenormand for love. Spirit watches us, guards us, cherishes us.

I’ve come to realize that Spirit answers all questions that I direct at it, from myself and from the people I’m doing readings for. No matter is too trivial for an answer. Spirit cares about each and every one of us and about all of our foibles.

Today’s message is a reminder that Spirit watches over us with love at all times. And when we find ourselves on the far side of a “Tower Moment,” Spirit is there to offer us unconditional love and guidance.

THE SNAKE – Lenormand

The Snake represents deception. It can also be envy, malice, something toxic, something that can bight.

The Five of Swords often warns of the damage that results if we are hurtful when we debate – if the need to win at all costs causes us to lash out with wounding and diminishing words.

Today’s message is to heed what we speak. Check to see if that Snake is coiled inside our ribs, around our heart, before we argue our positions. If it is, we need to loosen it’s grip, before opening our mouths.

I pulled cards twice today asking for a message from Spirit to help the world manifest its greatest good. I redid it because the card meanings and insights are slipping right past me today.

When I saw the World Reversed and The Man, my first thought was that mankind should stop global travel for a time. With all the news about the spread of the coronavirus, it’s not surprising my thoughts would leap to that meaning. But The Man Lenormand card usually represents a specific person, a man in your life, or yourself, if you identify as male. And The World Reversed is more about the inability to complete something karmic.

So, I then tried again and drew the Five of Pentacles and The Fox. What strikes me in the five of pentacles is how the two impoverished figures walk beside each other, but ignore each other. This pair of cards might mean: don’t let deceptive words turn you away from your neighbor in hard times.

We may have an infectious smile and kind words ready. Today, think about what we have to offer and act on it. The time for hesitation is over. Spirit empowers us today to share our gifts.

The THREE OF PENTACLES Is a card of collaboration and, some see it, as apprenticeship or commission. The craftsperson is physically adding ornate embellishments to a structure, but they are following clear directions to do so.

In the reversed position, this card is referencing a personal project that we are working on. This could be the creation of our inner temple – energy work or health. If self-employed, it could be that we are trying to improve our business. This could be about a book that we are writing or a meal that we want to cook.

THE CLOUDS Lenormand card references confusion, uncertainty, and not seeing clearly which way to turn.

If you are experiencing the CLOUDS, this combination of cards is permission from Spirit to seek a mentor or council. This can range from hiring an advisor or coach, going to a class, reading a recipe, or even meditating and praying to Spirit for guidance.

It is okay to seek external support. New inspirations, reserves, and progress might result from advice, whether mortal or spiritual.

The Lilies Lenormand card can represent our parents or older people in our lives. They also speak of wisdom and of a significant passage of time.

Parenting is an imperfect art, and those who raised us were often lost and reactionary. We all carry wounds in our hearts, inflicted by the thoughtless words of our elders when we were young. We all have self-doubts, and self-sabotaging prejudices, that stem from our internalization of words or actions that struck at us when we were most impressionable.

Today, Spirit wants us to acknowledge these wounds. Meditate. Think about them with the wisdom of time passed. Write them down. Forgive.

These are old aches that we may have carried for the majority of our years.  These sharp, damaging, translations of our parents/elders’ actions are ready to come free and heal. When we are cleansed of their shadow, our joy will brighten the world around us.

Today is a good day to start the process.

THE ACE OF SWORDS – Tarot
THE GARDEN – Lenormand

This is the same pair of cards that I drew on the 24th, so there must be more to this message than what I wrote then.

The ACE OF SWORDS can represent new ideas, new actions, a new truth. Swords being the suit of air and communication, this could be a new way to communicate for us, or deciding to act on a new truth or idea.

THE GARDEN Lenormand card represents a social situation, a gathering, networking. It can also literally mean a garden or outdoor gathering place.

Perhaps our message today is to speak out or take action, engaging other people. For example, today might be the perfect day to offer live Tarot readings at a local gathering place.

Maybe it is time to communicate on a forum or social media platform that you are involved with and share your insights and ideas.

I think Spirit is encouraging us to walk our talk – or speak our thoughts. If the path to our higher calling has been like a nebulous dream or wish in our private thoughts, today might be an excellent day to outwardly step upon it.
